The paper is worth a maximum of 50 points. The score is divided into three components: (1) up to 26 points (13 points for each article) for the summary of the two articles you selected, (2) up to 20 points for linking the material in the articles to the cognitive principles discussed in the course, and (3) up to 4 points for describing a future study that could examine the topic at hand. Summarizing the Articles Summarize each article separately. Please include the following information for each article (you can earn up to 13 points for each article summary, resulting in a total of 26 points for this section): What is the purpose of the study? (1 point) What is the hypothesis? (1 point) Describe the methodology used in the current study (4 points) What are the key results of the study? (3 points) Was the hypothesis supported? (1 point) What do the results suggest for altering/changing/updating teaching methodology in the classroom? (3 points) Linking the Material to the Cognitive Principles Discussed in the Course: Identify the major cognitive principles being targeting by the researchers—at least TWO different principles for each of the articles (5 points). Describe the principles/concepts being examined in the two articles using information from your textbook and readings for the course (10 points). What did YOU learn about how to apply these principle(s)/concept(s) to the classroom setting? Is there anything you will do differently now?
