Using the philosophical and historical approachs compare and analyze Bram Stoker’s novel, “Dracula” and the 2002 film, Queen of the Damned. Conduct a film and literature analysis using these approaches to discus how the text and the film approached the role of women, men and vampires. How does Dracula and “Queen of the Dammed” reflect philosophies about the “new woman” and “ideal of masculinity” within their respective time periods. Has the ideas regarding the “new woman” and “ideal masculinity” as society progressed?
