My Statement of Purpose I intend to apply for the Ph.D. Program in The University of Maryland computer science department for the Spring 2022. Purpose and Motivation I received my MS in Computer Information Systems from Colorado State University. I am a member of the National Society of Leadership & Success. Master’s thesis titled, “genetic variant classification”. My thesis aims to use data science to classify information on genetic classification. Having gone through the information describing the Ph.D. program offered by your institution, I am confident that it is suitable for me. The purpose of me applying for a position at your institution is to attain not only in-depth knowledge Academic Background Undergraduate study: (graduated 2011) I majored in Computer Information Systems while in university. I received quality training throughout the course. Additionally, I engaged in beneficial extracurricular activities that aligned with my course. In the end, I was able to graduate with a GPA of 4.10 out of 5. I studied an academic English program at INTO Colorado State University for one year and a half. Graduate Study: (graduated Fall 2020) I received a master’s degree at Colorado State University with GPA 3.93. I have gained immense knowledge in my studies. My thesis titled, “genetic variant classification”. Work Experience Between August 2019 and May 2020, I performed the duties of a graduate teaching assistant. In those ten months, I taught undergraduate and graduate-level CIS courses: Modern Systems Analysis & Design, C programming, and Strategic Information Systems. I am positive that my students were confident and approved my teaching abilities. This is manifested by their exemplary performance during my teaching tenure. Now I am a faculty at Electronic University.
