The final 3-page paper should deal with one aspect of social inequality (class, race, gender, sexuality) and how it relates to a specific aspect of the criminal justice system or to a specific type of criminal activity. Essay Guidelines: Using the short assigned readings and class lecture/discussion:a) What is social class? (or race? gender?) b) How does it relate to the criminal justice system or to crime (from the assigned reading)? c) Speak to one specific issue related to a) race or class or gender and b) either crime or criminal justice that interests you (for example, bail, drug laws, police stops, etc.). Citations/Sources: You should cite any quotes or references you use in the essay.  Aside from the assigned readings, any source you would like to use as a reference is fine so long as you provide a full citation.  APA-style citation is the standard CJ citation style. Plagiarisms will result in a grade of 0, and effectively a No-Pass (NP) for the course.
