In this project, you will format numbers and create formulas using absolute cell references. You will insert statistical functions. You will also create and format charts and WordArt.
For the purpose of grading the project you are required to perform the following tasks:
Start Excel 2013, and then open the downloaded file skills_exl02_grader_a1.xlsx.
Add the file name to the worksheet’s left footer and the sheet name to the right footer. Return to Normal view.
Insert 4 blank rows at the top of the worksheet.
Insert the text Tom’s Place as WordArt using the Fill – Black, Text1, Outline – Background 1, Hard Shadow – Background 1 style. Change the font size of the WordArt text to 32. Move the WordArt to the top of the worksheet in approximately C1:F4.
Select the labels in row 5 and apply the Wrap Text, Center, and Middle Align alignment.
In cell H6, enter a formula that multiplies the value in cell G6 with the percent value of the Interest on Loan. In the formula, use an absolute cell reference on one of the cells. Copy the formula down through cell H17.
In row 18, sum columns C:H. Format the range C18:H18 with the Total cell style.
In the range C19:F19, use a function to calculate the average for each of the store locations.
In the range C20:F20, use a function to calculate the highest value for each of the store locations.
In the range C21:F21, use a function to calculate the lowest value of each of the store locations.
Select the range B5:F17 and insert a Clustered Column chart. Move and resize the chart so that it displays in approximately the range A26:H44. Change the chart title to Inventory.
Insert a Pie chart based on the nonadjacent ranges C5:F5 and C18:F18. Move the pie chart to a new chart sheet named Inventory Chart.
On the pie chart, change the layout of the pie chart to Layout 2. Change the title to Store Inventory. Ensure that the data label contains the category name and percentage, and that the label position is set to Outside End. Change the data label shape to Rectangular Callout. Add the File Name element in the left footer and the Sheet Name element in the right footer.
Change the scaling of the Inventory worksheet so the width will fit to one page.
Ensure that the worksheets are correctly named and placed in the following order in the workbook: Inventory Chart; Inventory. Save the workbook, close the workbook window, and then submit the workbook as directed.
